IT Director / CIO (m/f/d) – Continental Europe

In this position you will define the IT Roadmap and lead the IT project portfolio for Asendia subsidiaries of Continental Europe. Responsibilities include guaranteeing IT service quality and continuity, supporting business development, ensuring the success of IT projects and aligning the IT strategy with the business including governance and budgeting. You will also contribute to the global IT Strategy of Asendia Group, promoting the Continental Europe IT interests. You will manage IT teams in an European matrix organization to build and maintain our corporate IT, and to engineer innovative customer facing tools and systems to support our growth and business case. Based on your experience, confidence and tenacity you will deal with external and internal customers at all levels. You will report to Asendia Head of Continental Europe.

Your Tasks

 

• Guarantee IT service quality & continuity
• Support business development - IT is a vital part of the business and shall generate new business opportunities by applying IT innovations and appropriate IT technology in close cooperation with the business
• Ensure the success of IT projects in terms of functional, technical and organizational criteria, while taking into account the satisfaction of the internal customers, balancing scope/costs/timeline. Ensuring the integration of IT projects into the overall IT landscape/organization and representing Continental Europe in the global IT community
• Manage and validate the functional business requirements to guarantee the strategic IT alignment with the business
• Manage IT teams and experts in charge of development of IT-Systems internally or by third parties
• Establish a modern and agile mindset across the European IT organisation and stakeholders to ensure continuous delivery of systems, services and tools
• Define, create and build the relevant teams and skills to make technology a building block of our future growth

 

 

 

Your Profile

 

• You have a master’s degree in IT or Management and at least 5 years of relevant experience, in a leading position, with an IT environment (technical or functional): team or project
• A previous international exposure is key, competencies and experience in parcel distribution are an asset
• Experience in building / managing IT roadmaps within a matrix organization as well as a pragmatic approach (“hands-on”) and ability to synthesize in a complex environment. You enjoy collaboration with different countries and cultures in English (any other language is an asset)
• Your business oriented mindset helps to de-fine and prioritize investments and projects in line with the corporate strategy and business case
• Experience in portfolio management (PMO), services management (ITIL) and knowledge in risk management (MRB) as well as a strong knowledge in agile methods and project management, SCRUM certifications are an asset
• Strong customer orientation: ability to listen, negotiate, and effectively communicate with Board members or technical audiences. High personal responsibility, organization and selfmanagement. Flexible, open minded, autono-mous, proactive, good team spirit result oriented
